SalesGame.me is a sales-training game run by Potential.org (“we”, “us”). We decide how the information described here is used and are responsible for it. You can contact us with the form at the bottom of this page.
When you start a deal we create a guest player identified by a random value in a cookie. We store the products you add (the product brief, not your file), your deals, and what you write in them, so the game can score your moves and you can continue later.
If you save your progress, we keep your email address, your name if you give it, a securely hashed version of your password (we can't read it), and your products, deals, scores and badges. Your guest progress moves into the account. We don't send marketing emails.
When you upload a file or give a web address, we read it in memory and send its content to our AI provider to draft a product brief. We don't store the file or the page. Please only upload material you're allowed to share, and leave out confidential customer data.
Each message you write in the game is sent, with the relevant game context (your product brief and the fictional account), to our AI provider so a buyer can reply and your move can be scored. Messages and replies are stored with your deal. For each AI request we also keep a technical log (time, model, response time, amount of text processed, cost and whether it worked) without the text itself.
If you ask about team access or send a privacy request, we keep the details you give us so we can reply.
We count events such as “a deal was started” or “a stage was completed”, with no personal information, to understand whether the game helps. Our hosting provider processes IP addresses to deliver pages; we use them briefly, in scrambled form and in memory only, to limit abuse.
We store a couple of display preferences in your browser's local storage (for example, that you dismissed a tip). No advertising or analytics cookies.
Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on providing the service you asked for (running your game and account, answering AI requests, replying to you), legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, improving the game with anonymous counts) and legal obligations where they apply.
We never sell or rent personal information. We use a small number of providers who process data on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect it:
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people or the service.
Our providers may process data in the United States, the European Union and other countries. Where transfer rules apply, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your data-protection authority. You can delete your account yourself from the account menu in the game; for anything else, use the form below. We'll respond within one month.
Prospects, buyers and their companies are invented for practice. Any resemblance to real organisations or people is unintended. AI buyers can make mistakes; scores are coaching signals, not assessments of a person.
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and sign-in and guest tokens only in hashed form. Access to the database is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if something goes wrong.
